Learn more about the steps we are taking to protect both you and ourselves, during your stay.
Firstly, thank you for choosing the Mayfair Hotel during these uncertain and unprecedented times. We want to assure you, our valued guest/s, that your comfort and safety is our top priority.
We have looked carefully and critically at our operational procedures and adapted them to put your safety and that of our staff at the forefront of what we do, so that you can relax, unwind and enjoy your time with us.
We’d like to share some of the key measures and procedures we have implemented to give you the peace of mind during your stay
Our Hotel
An enhanced deep cleaning programme is carried out in all communal areas of the hotel with high touch point areas such as door handles, handrails and lift buttons cleaned more regularly with an anti-viral cleaner.
Perspex screens have been added to Reception, Bar and Coffee Shop counter serving areas.
A one way system has been adopted at the entrance to the hotel and also along the corridors to the bedrooms.
Hand sanitiser is provided in all main areas of the hotel.
Lifts are still in operation and regularly cleaned and disinfected, but with signage to limit use to one guest, or guests from the same room, at any one time.
Safe distance markers have been added to the floor in all relevant areas.
In the public toilets the use of towelling towels has been suspended and replaced with disposable towels.
Health and hygiene signage has been added to remind guests about best practices.
To avoid the handling of cash we are only accepting debit and credit card payments, this includes service at the restaurant or bar. Alternatively, with the swipe of a card, payments can also be charged back to a room account and settled in a single payment on departure.

Bedrooms / Housekeeping
All bedrooms are meticulously cleaned and fully disinfected between guests including a twenty point programme of rigorous deep cleaning following guest check-out, paying particular attention to all touch points within the rooms such as TV remote controls, light switches, kettles, hair dryers, wardrobe doors and any other buttons or handles.
All non-essential items such as destination guides etc. have been removed from the room to reduce risk.
On departure each guest room is left vacant and untouched for a minimum of 48 hours before being deep cleaned and allocated for the next guests.
Housekeeping staff are provided with the appropriate PPE in line with Government advice to enable them to safely carry out their daily duties.
No staff will enter a guest’s room while it is occupied unless in an emergency.
Guests can request housekeeping not to enter their room during their stay and we will happily replenish towels, linen of any other items to the door.
We are requesting, when possible, that guests should use their bedroom toilet rather than toilets in the public areas of the hotel.
