For peace of mind we have included some of the most common questions and answers asked at our Reception to save you more time for enjoying your holiday. Could you give me directions to St. Helier Town Centre?

The town centre is within easy reach of both hotels. The Mayfair is ideally situated right on the edge of town and the shops are a 2 minute walk away. The Metropole is a little further away from the town centre but still only a pleasant 5 minute walk away. Your receptionist will be able to give you detailed directions. What is Fort Regent and how do I get there?

Fort Regent is Jersey’s largest leisure, conference and entertainment venue. Situated on Mount Bingham and overlooking St Helier, the rampart areas provide 20 acres of outside walks and spectacular panoramic views of the south and east coasts. Fort Regent is where you will find our Play Arena – one of the largest soft play areas in Europe – to which your child will have free access on production of your key card. Fort Regent can be accessed easily by foot or car – your receptionist will give you directions or can arrange a taxi if necessary.

What is there to do in Jersey?

There are countless attractions and activities in Jersey with numerous Jersey Heritage historical sites and museums, family adventures parks and countless beautiful beaches and cliff path walks to name but a few. What facilities does the hotel have?

Both of our hotels offer all the facilities you would expect from a 3 star hotel – please see the dedicated sections of this website for detailed lists of facilities and photo galleries listed under the Mayfair or Metropole Hotel sections.

Is there entertainment in the hotels?

Yes, we have an in-house entertainer in each hotel who arranges a variety of entertainment. There’s something different every night ranging from Bingo and quizzes, local singers and bands to magic and comedy – you’ll find something for everyone!

Is there internet access in the hotel?

Both hotels have computers in the reception areas from which you can access the internet free of charge. The Suites at the Mayfair hotel also have internet access.

Are trips to the other nearby islands or St. Malo available?

Yes, you can book a day trip to one of these fantastic destinations through reception. We can arrange trips to the beautiful island of Guernsey, the charming island of Sark and of course the beautiful, historic walled city of St. Malo. Please enquire at Reception or speak to your courier to arrange your trip.

Are organized tours of Jersey available?

Yes, you can book a variety of coach tours through your reception. There are several different excursions to choose from all with varying themes from coastal tours or open garden tours to vintage coach tours. You’ll find a coach tour to suit everyone. Or why not take a boat tour on the Southern Bay Rose which will take you on a cruise along Jersey’s beautiful and historic south coast. Further details are available in the information booths or you can ask your receptionists for further details.

Can you give me some information on Jersey’s bus service?

Jersey has a really good bus service that gives you the freedom to visit the whole island at a really affordable price. There are 23 routes that cover the whole island plus 4 routes especially designed for holiday makers that cover 5 of the Islands most popular attractions. The main bus station is a 10 minute walk from each hotel, although you are never too far from a bus stop. There are "unlimited travel" passes available which will help keep down the cost of your travel. For further information please pick up a leaflet from the Guest Information Booth or ask at reception. Is there a hairdryer in the room?

Yes, there is a hairdryer plus complimentary shower gel, shampoo, soap and shower cap. You will also find tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits.

How do I rent a car?

You can book a hire car through Reception with our partners Hertz at a special rate which includes collision damage waiver excess of £500, Goods and Services Tax and half a tank of fuel.

Can Non-Residents eat at the Hotel?

Yes, the Dining-rooms, coffee shops and bars in both Hotels are open to non-residents.

Is there parking at the Hotel?

Both the Mayfair Hotel and the Hotel Metropole have large car parks. If the carpark is very busy it is advisable to leave your car keys with our porters in case they need to move your car.

What time is check in and check-out?

You can check in at anytime and if necessary store your cases with the porters until your room is ready (usually approximately 12pm). Checkout is 10am although late departures can be arranged – please contact the hotel direct if you wish to arrange this.
