Headline act for Jersey Jazz 2012: Internationally famous trombone virtuoso takes on both classic and modern jazz/funk sounds in his own inimitable style with his band Velocity.
The Simon Spillett Quartet (UK)
Featuring Simon Spillett himself, Alec Dankworth (world famous bassist), Ronnie Scott’s legend John Critchinson and Clark Tracey (son of piano icon Stan Stracey).
The Linley Weir Trio (UK)
Be enthralled by Linley and her hauntingly beautiful jazz vocals, performing standards as well as some of her own compositions and accompanied by her charismatic backing duo.
The Blam Quartet (UK)
Toe-tapping modern jazz inspired by the countries band members originally hail from; Malta, Chile, Germany, Italy. Truly international.
The Sam Orchard and John Sealey Quartet (Guernsey)
For the first time we have the leading names of the Guernsey jazz scene joining us for our 2012 festival. Brilliant to have a taste of all things jazz from our sister island.
The Jersey Jazz Quintet (Jersey)
This newly created jazz quintet is the formation of some of Jersey’s finest jazz musicians; each of them each of them well known here on the island.
The Brian White Jazz Quartet (Jersey)
What would a Jersey Jazz Festival be without Brian and his band taking time out from their weekly residency at Roberto’s Jazz Club.

Every year for almost twenty years the Modern Hotel Group have hosted a superb jazz festival at one of our hotels, and 2012 will be no exception.Starting on the morning of Friday 30th March 2012 the Mayfair Hotel will be filled with the rhythmic buzz of the very best quality jazz music from all over the world, played by musicians based in the UK, Jersey and Guernsey, right up until late on Sunday 1st April 2012.
Full Festival Pass: £50 per person (All 3 Mayfair Evening events plus Live Jazz Brunch)
Single Evening Mayfair Pass: £15 per person
Sunday Live Jazz Brunch: £20 per person
